The six foundations.
- Spiritual nutrition (food) and spiritual fasting
- Building the life force (prana) with pranayama, yoga, sacred dance, etc.
- Service and charity (when we give, we are connecting)
- Being inspired by a spiritual teacher (satsang), support by a spiritual group, reading the great litarature, jnana yoga
- Silence, meditation, prayer, mantra repetition, and chanting
- Shaktipat and the awakening of the kundalini energy.
When you are really present in yourself, you create the space for the other to exist.
From the book : The Marriage of Sex and Spirit, edited by Geralyn Gendreau
I tend more to bhakti, raja and integral yoga, with the main focus on bhakti. Dr Cousens favours jnana yoga. Every soul has a different approach and that’s fine.
