“In life you have to deal with all kinds of difficulties, first of all with the misunderstanding of your loved ones and acquaintances. You have to be prepared for this and arm yourself with patience and with great indifference. On the path of yoga you must not worry about what people think or say; as a starting point this is indispensable. You must be completely immune to what the world thinks or says of you, and to the way it treats you. The misunderstanding of others must not even affect you coldly. That is why it is usually much more difficult to remain in your usual environment to do yoga than to leave everything and go into solitude. It is much more difficult, but we are not here to do easy things. We leave the easy things to those to whom the thought of transformation does not even occur.”
